Airport

We recommend flying into Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) — about 45–60 minutes by car to Lake Maggiore. It’s the most convenient route to reach the area, with beautiful views as you approach the lake!

Please note: your passport cannot expire within 6 months of your return travel dates.

Train

Guests arriving at Milan Malpensa Airport (Terminals 1 or 2) can choose a scenic and affordable train ride to Stresa — the journey takes just over an hour with one connection and serves the town center directly at Piazza Guglielmo Marconi Station. Tickets begin around €10–13 when booked ahead.

Once you arrive by train at Stresa Station, you will be 5-15 minutes walking from your hotel depending the one you choose.

Prefer a little more ease? A taxi ride takes under 5 minutes and is perfect for luggage or a leisurely arrival.

Taxi

For a more direct and relaxed experience to Stresa, you may also book a private car or taxi service straight from the airport, which typically takes under an hour for about €110–140.
