About Lago Maggiore

We are so excited to have you join us in beautiful Lago Maggiore! Located in northern Italy near the Swiss border, it’s a dreamy mix of sparkling blue water, traditional Italian villas, and mountain views that feel straight out of a fairytale. Maggiore is a hidden gem, loved by European travelers for its relaxed charm, scenic views, and timeless lakeside ease.

The lake’s location makes it extra special - it stretches into Switzerland, so you can explore Italian markets in the morning and be in a Swiss lakeside town by lunch. Frequent ferries connect charming villages all along the shore, making it easy (and beautiful) to hop between them.

The lakeside town of Stresa - where our accommodations and additional wedding events will take place- sits right along the shores of Lago Maggiore and is filled with charming streets, lively cafes and restaurants, and close proximity to the Borromean Islands. From cobblestone streets to boat rides and Aperol Spritzes by the water, we can’t wait to experience it all together.
